Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT)
SLAT, short for Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test, serves as the entrance examination for admission into BA LLB and BBA LLB programs offered by the Symbiosis Law schools (SLSs). Administered by Symbiosis International University, this test is conducted in an online, computer-based format.
Aspirants aiming to enroll in the B.A LL.B (Hons) / B.B.A LL.B (Hons) / B.A LL.B. / B.B.A LL.B programs provided by institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) are required to participate in the obligatory Computer Based Test (CBT). As of 2018, the SET - Law exam has been renamed as the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). This assessment is administered in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format in multiple cities across India.Through SLAT, a candidate can get admission to its four participating law schools:

SLAT Eligibility Criteria:
It is essential for individuals who are aspiring to appear for SLAT exam to have a comprehensive understanding of the eligibility requirements. The subsequent information outlines the specific criteria for SLAT exam eligibility:

General/OBC Category Candidates | A candidate must have successfully completed their class 12 with at least a 45% aggregate score. |
SC/ST Category Candidates | For candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories, a minimum aggregate of 40% in class 12 is required. |
Candidates in Class 12 | Those who are currently studying in class 12 and haven’t received their final results can also apply. However, they must present their qualifying certificate during the admission process to confirm their eligibility. |

- The test duration for SLAT is 60 minutes and no negative marking is there.
- Each correct answer earns one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers or non-attempted questions
- The total score is determined by the number of correct answers out of a possible 60 marks
- While the total marks allocated for SLAT are originally 60, they are subsequently adjusted to 50. Consequently, the weightage of SLAT is 50.
- After the SLAT exam, candidates who score well in the Entrance Test will be shortlisted for PI-WAT/ST-PI. To be eligible for admission to any UG programs, it is mandatory to attend all components/tests of PI-WAT/ST-PI.
SLAT WAT:The term "SLAT WAT" stands for the SLAT Written Ability Test which is an online examination focused on essay writing. It carries a weightage of 20 marks.
SLAT PI:SLAT PI, or the SLAT Personal Interview, is an assessment designed to evaluate candidates' suitability and aptitude for pursuing legal education. This segment holds a weightage of 30 marks.
